Tomtom power

does anybody power a tomtom from a lorry if so what do they use as it's a 24v batt?
have seen this in Maplins but it only has a 4.5v output and the tomtom is 5v

if there is somthing that just drops the voltage from 24v to 12v that would be great as the std power cable could be used.

the 0.5v difference shouldnt make any difference i dont think mate....

thanks for the replys but have just noticed on the std plug it says
input 12v/24v output 5v so it should work

You dont need to worry about convertors, I asked my dad (HGV Mechanic) and all new trucks (24v) have reducers for the radio and accesory socket to 12v,
