too low or wrong offset (56k)

Have the car tracked up at a laser tracker !! They should be able to tell you your camber and track, if its the track you could get some spacers, if its the camber you could get some camber adjustable bolts !!

  Polo + Micra

yeah that was all setup when they were fitted

i think i might need some spacers but i dont know what off set my wheels are:mad:

  BMW 320d Sport

Well from where your spring platform is set I doubt its too low, although it could be. Possibly your wheels are just too big or the offset is too high. Theres a lot of things it could be. If you could put on here your original wheel width, diameter and offset, along with what size tyre you had, then also the same info for your new wheels then itll be pretty obvious what the problem is.

If youre still running the same wheels as before you had the coilovers put on, then it can only be the coilovers are set too low, or if you want to run that ride height you need harder springs. Or you need to not turn corners LOL

Wheels should have the offset stamped into them somewhere !! If not measure the distance from the centre of the wheel to the part where it meets the hub !!

  Clio II and Grand Modus

The ET should be on the inside of the rim........Looks like wrong ET as it´s rubbing on the inside. Is it all the time or just on full lock?

  Polo + Micra

yeah sh*t tsw have stamped ET on the back but the number afterwards is unreadable

its a clio mrk2 ph2 the tyres are 205/40/17 the originals were 185/55/15

the 17s were fine before i had the coilovers fitted

Probably the camber then !! Camber angle increase the lower you get so the top of the wheel sticks in more !! Get some camber adjusting bolts from K-tec !!

  Clio II and Grand Modus

Well the look of the spring setting don´t look to low at all, how much have you lowerd it ? I´m aprox. -65mm on 205/40-17 and only slight rub on full lock my rims are 7X17 ET 38. If you coilovers have no camber adjust it could be that..........

  Polo + Micra

the coilover have got camber adjust on them which was set after i decided on the ride height which is about 45-50 mm

it only rubs when cornering and not on full lock??

  Clio II and Grand Modus

45-50mm is defo not to low on 17´s. Sound like your coilovers is a bit "soft" Do the car body roll a lot when cornering? What are they. Should be rock solid when cornering, bet it´s your ET thats wrong.

  Polo + Micra

yeah they are pretty solid when cornering

so how do i measure the ET on my wheels???

  Clio II and Grand Modus

Then it should not rub on the inside as it sticks out more than a rim with ET 38 as I have. Strange.........Is it on both sides?? If not the spring could be to soft, what make are your coilovers

  Polo + Micra

yeah it seemed to be rubbing more on the passenger side but now ive had a look on that side its no where near as bad as the other side???

the coilovers are made buy FK

  Clio II and Grand Modus

I would have them checked, dosn´t sound right. ´Do you have a side picture of the car on coilovers? But still -60mm on 17´s should be no prob. defo sometning wrong with either the coilovers or the set up of them........

  Clio II and Grand Modus

Are you sure about the offset?? how about a full side pics. If your tyre clears all way inside the arch, wich it should with ET 35 and a -50mm drop I would defo get the coilover springs looked at.......Can´t comment on the FK´s but I have no problems with my H&R´s and I am defo lower than you.........

  Lionel Richie

I had to put 5mm spacers on the front (no need for camber bolts)

that top pic is nothing!!!! you should see under my arches!!!!!

My driveshafts rub on the chassis legs!!!
