Top mounts not flush

  Clio 1.2 16v
Hi, so I've just had my clio 1.2 lowered, looks all good n well from the outside but upon poping the bonnet I discovered that neither top mounts are sitting flush ad they were before, anyone know why this is? Do I need different top mounts and such? And advice appreciated cheers all.

Drivers side looks like it needs a different nut underneath the top mount hat. Try and get a better pic of underneath

Who fitted the bits for you?
My mate who then said he was gonna come sort it out but that was about a month ago so I'm just tryna find out what's wrong with it so I can take it to a garage or sort it myself if I've got time

As @hipwell said, it looks like someones chuckednthe wrong nut under that old style top hat.

Where abouts are you located? If you're local and need a hand with anything I can give a helping hand

No problem mate, it's not stupidly far

You just need a skinny 17mm top mount nut or to pick up the new style top hat. Nice easy fix though. It shouldn't cause too much of an issue driving it like that though. The top mount only stops the shocker top falling into the turret

I'll probably just go with a new nut cos I bought the top mounts fresh when he did them cos we had to destroy one to get it off as everything had seized cos it must've been sat for a while before I bought it
