towbar 172 cup

2nd- looking into getting a detachable towbar fitted on my 172 cup to tow my jetski, any1 done it or know anything about it as i want a detachable one and dont want the bumper cut

Sorry, You ar not supposed to fit towbars to the 172 cups...
The chassis isn't built for them, as it says in the manual.

I dont think any of the renaultsports can have a tow bar fitted, I'm sure someone else could clarify that.

Its not legally rated for it tho

Wouldnt/Shouldnt pass an MOT and any insurance claim with anythign being towed i assume wouldnt be valid.

MY mates Dad has a towbar on his 172 cup. Its been on there since new.

Done about 120k now and no-ones ever picked up on it!!

Ive seen it before.

I know it can be done as most things can, just saying its not rated on the RS for towing....
