We have a ITB'd 172, soon to be high comp.

But i do worry for you. referring to your thread on EBAY Brakes.

been looking on ebay at the disc packs they do for cheap u get the 4 discs and 2 bearings...they are the groved and drilled ones just wonderin if they will be ok as they arent exactly ebc or anything?

what about standard discs...good pads or other way round? just they all need doin n havet got the money

OK....

And now your talking about spanking anywhere between 2.4k - 5K on major engine work.

Hope you find the money and sort your brakes out with something decent before spending cash on large mods.

Sorry to sound harse. but thats the way it is.

To be honest Adrian i think your just beating about the bush with your above reply, why don't you just come out with what you really mean? PMSL

Fin I'm with Ade on this, you really need to sort everything out before going on an extreme engine mod like forced induction, having an amazing engine in a poorly maintained and set up chassis will lead you to no end of disapointment.

Yeah like i said in your ast thread. Get some decent brakes + coilovers so you can get the power down better and then when the car gets a bit boring to drive the go for ITB's IMO. The noise is emmence.

no should have explained lads....im a lil low on money at the minute but pads are pretty worn as it stands so was going to replaceall pads and discs...but i have a few grand coming my way either late this year or early next so was just 'toying' with the idea of this because i fancied doing it as i lov the clio! either that or other option being with it paid off early next year just sell up and buy a newer car with the money!

should have explained...to be honest tho i think along with the mods i would upgrade brakes first anyway as i know how it feels for brakes to fail on ya and its not nice lol!
