So buying them as an all year tyre is not a good idea.
Great lol, so am i yet again better off getting pe2s?

how many of the above that have answered have used them in the rain?? i doubt any.

They are by no means an all year round tyre.

They are fine in the damp, and ok in the wet.

They struggle with standing water.

But then how 'good' they are in the wet depends alot on driver input.

I don't plan on doing anything spirited driving in the wet with them on.

The clio's a relatively light car, you'll aquaplane a lot where there's standing water. As an all rounder, wouldn't parada's be a better bet?

i have pirelli p zero nero and they are fantastic wet or dry, had pe2s before and these are as good for less money!! get some bought!

they are quite good in the wet but they don't do standing water.
i was at croft a couple of weeks ago they was fine till i hit some standing water .
when the track was damp they loved it and seamed better the the exalto's but i had to fit the exalto's back on after five laps where i amost lost the car 4 time's after hitting some standing water .

i found my parada's shocking in the wet, though there pretty wide and 18's if that makes a difference

i've done wet in them, ok, but T1R's are better. 888's in the dry or damp, best gripping tyres i've ever had.

Ditto

Driving in the rain on semi-slick track tyres in general is verging on suicidal...standing water becomes ice.

Bear in mind it rains every other day at the moment.

Is this for your 182? As they'll wear quickly too with road use.

Id go for more pe2's, doesnt look like were getting much of a summer mate, and its mid august already...

Am i gonna die if it rains?

No they are absolutely fine. I drove back from the ring last week and the front are pretty much knackered. It was aabsolutely pis*ing it down in the uk when we got back and it drove fine. Just watch out for standing water. Thats where it gets interesting!! Just take care on them is all ill say but they are fine otherwise :)

Bloody hell Paul, you don't drive when it's wet because of your paintwork, and your telling Rollo to go out on track tyres! FLOL.
Paul=open goal!

Nope, terrible in the wet - in my experience - although I know a hardcore Ring junkie that uses them as his 'wets'! :S

I know they aren't meant to be great in the wet, but surely better than the 888's, at least they have some tread!

The tyres on the exige are not the same as the ones you buy off the shelf tho. I know this for a fact. The cuts in the tread are ever so slightly different are are specific for the exige. They are better at dispersing water etc. But yes in short they are still semi slicks.

^ only ava though a lotus dealer too!

Am i bein silly or smething cos that makes no sense to me at all lol, sorry

sorry in ref to the exige tyres / elise tyres (111r/s/exige tyres) are only available through a lotus approved dealer!

esp the semi slick! Lotus tyres arent that easy to get hold of through other means!
