Toyo R1R's

  MK1 Mexico, Clio 172
Are they okay on track? I'm doing a day at woodbridge on Saturday and have heard it's quite an abrasive surface. I use the r1r's as road tyres and was thinking of leaving them on rather than changing to the wheels with r888's

I was under the impression the R1R's were released to take over from the 888's with the new rules coming in so would of thought they would be pretty good on track as well still..

Naturally this is just my theory and also very interested to hear anyones actual experineces!

Designed as an intermediate tyre to run alongside the R888. If the surface is reknown for being aggressive towards tyres then it won't matte what you run the wear will be high. I wouldn't use them for road use during the winter, they won't give the best result and summer tyres wear faster during the colder months.
