As a road tyre they are completely pointless.
As a track tyre they are awesome.
completely disagree
U wont get the best out of them on the road but they are very good for road use. miles better than a standard tyre and tonnes more feel back from the steering. Have u used them?
What most people wont realise though is with the R888s the grip doesnt just fade like a normal tyre on the limit, you will go from massive amounts of grip to none at all, and when they go off they do go off.
Great tyres, just not suited to alot of people for a daily driver.
will you be keeping the 16s?

LOL is that not a serious hazard?
Would like a set, espiecially since summer is on it way!! Just want to make sure there worth the price tag!
They are perfect on the road, work absolutely fine from cold, they are good in the wet, just not great with standing water. There is simply no more too it!!
Just buy them
Eh?
So on a cold morning theyre grippier than a standard pe2/ parada?
Dan -R out of interest what compound are you running.
Running a medium compound rather than the soft I do find you need to get heat into them, and as I stated earlier when worked hard the grip just falls off once they are over the optimum, which alot of people wont realise happens when you use a 'grippyer' tyre.
In the wet I find them scary, although mine is on a lighter shell than my clio with a fair bit more power than a stock 172.
Most people can get by perfectly well on a set of normal T1Rs because they are reasonably soft and alot cheaper and better in the wet
I put my R888's on during thew wet weather and the still performed just as well as the Parada Spec2's I had on. Will be using R888's all the time as they're great and the Parada's on a spare set of wheels for when I'm waiting on the next set of r888's
My clio is 218 bhp yes you do need to get heat in them but they are just as grippy from cold as my pe2's! I dont find them scary in the wet at all.
Yeah when u get them too hot the grip deteriorates.
On the road tho you will never ever experience this.
I love them. Great tyres imo.
T1R's and wet are not good.
