toyo T1-R'S vs PARADA spec 2's......

  ITB'd 182...
last 2 sets have been toyo's but tempted by the yokes tbh.

experiences would be helpfull :)

that is a tough one.
my brother has paradas on his ph1 172
i have t1-r's on my 182.
tbh i like both but i would go for the paradas. they seem to last longer

  ITB'd 182...
i find the edges wear quickly on the toyos but thats more than likely down to hard cornering

paradas do last long, not tried the 1R's either but i would given the chance

parada's are waheyyyy in the wet, but thats on how u drive i guess, mine have lasted me 10 months with 3 track sessions in that and a trip to france!!!! :O

yeah, paradas can't be pushed too hard in the wet. imo t1-r's are better in the wet.
paradas just as good in the dry tho and last longer.
yeah, the edges of t1-r's do wear fairly quick due to hard cornering. a lot of tyres seem to tho.
i will be going for paradas when i need new rubber if i can get hold of them

Completely different tyres :s

Paradas are a cross between a road tyre and a trackday semi slick, the toyo's are a cheapish performance road tyre. Both awful in the wet, parada's are awesome when warm in the dry.

With winter approaching i wouldnt be looking at either mate!

i have t1-r's and they don't really seem that bad in the wet. no tyre is great in the wet imo. well, none i have come across anyway

I have just got a full set of Yokos on my 15's.

In the dry they are phenomenal, tons of grip and squeel nicely when you pish it a bit far :D
In the wet they are ok provided you dont thrash the steering about too much, quick sharp turns loose them, but if you turn in fairly gently they do retain a decent amount of grip, but I just don't push it in the wet so they will be fine for me.

Had T1R's on my 1.2 16v, obviously slightly slower but loved them on it, however i hated them on my Lupo GTi!

^ why is that bad?
Wouldn't have got my order and payment until Tues morning when he started work, sent out asap and got to me by weds morning, seems good to me, especially as delivery was only a tenner.

The garage i work at orders tyres in the morning and they arrive mid afternoon, we have the option to have them delivered to an alternate address for a small fee.
I made an assumption that he is a yoko dealer as we are...

ive literally just made this decision yesterday as was at tweeks in need of 4 new tyres. had paradas on and really liked them but in the greasy conditions they were absolutely awful. couldnt justify the cost/wear of r888 or ao48's so took a punt on some toyo t1r's and so far seem to be a good allround tyre. although they lack the dry weather grip of the yoko they're better in the greasy/wet weather.

  BMW M5 & E36
Ive got T1R's on the front and Parada's on the back. Impressed by both TBH. Parada's if I was to pick though.

i found the problem with paradas is that in having none reinforced sidewalls after only 4k they were shredded. £115 for 4 fitted though is a bargain.

Tyres gone already gup, jeeeez
Stick with the toyos :)
Why change something if it does the job perfectly fine already? ;)

  Ozzed Clio
paradas are loads better but only in the dry. i think id stick to toyos though if i was you. that right foot of yours seems to be glued to the floor. ;)

There is wire showing in places where the rubber has melted and the tread is coming away from the tyre!!

You guys must be hooligans in the wet with the Parada's ;) - Can honestly say, other than when they only had 30 odd miles wear, the grip in the wet is the same as the Eagle F1's if not better!!

Heard all the stories about the wet weather thing before and thought i was risking it buying the Parada's especially with the Scottish weather lol but can safely say im well impressed with them.

Just wish they'd hurry up and wear out as im wanting to change the wheels back to stock lol

you do occasionaly see photos of tyres that have been scrubbed halfway up the sidewall (i guess, problems with pressures/geometry/driving style), but those Paradas are pretty impressive!

There is no 'legal' way you could get them to look like that with road use. purely down to cornering speed imo.

Justin- fullruns not cutting it anymore?

Never really did mate, think the last wales trip well and truly finished them off though.
