Track car perpetration

Hi all new to this site so just after a few tips or helpful advice
i am preparing a 2002 172 Clio to use as a track car am thinking of original wheels with race tyres, wheel spacers but have read on here wider on the front is this right as seems a bit odd to me
alsoi have already lowered the car
any advice welcome on the above items or anything in general about track prepping the car

Maybe it was meant that the spacers on the front need to be wider than the rear.....
