welshname ClioSport Club Member DSG Edition 30 Mar 10, 2012 #2 That's a ball joint (attaches to the wishbone and then into the hub). The track rod end is a balljoint on the end. If it's that that's failed you just need a new TRE.

Then best to get your tracking checked after. Another £20-£30. So probably £50-£80 depending where you go

welshname ClioSport Club Member DSG Edition 30 Mar 10, 2012 #6 Fitting the TRE yourself is easy if you have somewhere to do the tracking that is fairly local.
J JackJack Mar 10, 2012 #7 As barker said. Fairly easy to do yourself set it to a similar position as the old one then go and get the alignment checked.

D Dan519 DON'T SEND ME PM'S!! Mar 10, 2012 #9 Track rod end is about £40 for genuine, or £20-£25 for a decent quality non genuine. They'll have the right bits for you
