Track rod end ball joint.

Car failed the MOT on the above, how much is one of these fitted?

That's a ball joint (attaches to the wishbone and then into the hub).

The track rod end is a balljoint on the end. If it's that that's failed you just need a new TRE.

Just after a idea of the cost really.

Fairly easy to do yourself set it to a similar position as the old one then go and get the alignment checked.
 
Ok cheers, sadly can't do any work to my car myself at the moment, will probably be going to k-tec
 
Track rod end is about £40 for genuine, or £20-£25 for a decent quality non genuine. They'll have the right bits for you
