Track rod ends. OE or not?

Car  Ph2 172 Track Toy
Gonna be renewing most of the suspension on my 172. Had a quote for all parts and even with my discount the OE track rods are v expensive.

Are they worth the extra or will parts for Euro Parts be good enough?

The car will be used on track.

Do ECP do the Lemforder ones? They're meant to be good.

Avoid Q-Drive. Buy cheap, buy twice and all that.

On the plus side as its an essential steering component there are reasonable quality control checks in place even for the cheap ones autofactors sell as they dont like killing people so they are as rubbish as some things like cheap head gaskets etc, so they wont fail straight away or anything like that, but the OE ones are the only ones likely to last 100K+ miles.
So it depends a bit on how long you are going to keep the car.

Not for 100k!!

Its just when you add all the components together it gets v pricey. The car only cost £1250 so just want to keep costs somewhere on the right side of resonable.

Just use the aftermarket ones then, they are fine for a good while.

Lemforder ones from Euro Car Parts, using promo code "midmonth30" gives you 30% off making them £13.86 each. Cheap!
