Track rod ends

  1.8 RSI
Shouldn't they last more than 10 months? Had 2 new ones fitted for last MOT and one of thems got play in it already, managed to scrub a tyre out.

Is it worth going back to the garage and moaning or is it just another thing that needs yearly replacement?

They're one of those things that shouldn't go more than a few times in the life tme of the car. Whats the problem with them? The garage that fitted them did do the tracking aftre fitting?

They did the tracking when fitting them but now one has developed a bit of play. Bloke at STS spotted it when looking at my exhaust.

Had a look myself and there is definatly play there plus the tyres scrubbed out.

Thought they should last a fair while but was just checking in case they were like the wheel bearings wich seem to have a very short life:(

Oh well, will try the garage tommorrow and see what they have to say:S

Should use proper Renault parts. Copy cat parts can cause this issue same for the bearing there some dangerously poor copy cat bits out there (and some big name places sell them)
