Track wheels & Tyres

hi guys whats you best combo for track tyres and wheels?

do i go 15" wheels or 16" wheels and what track tyres do you use? at the moment i am thinking 888's, A048s, Kumho V70a's, hankook Z211's? or any other tyres let me know

15 inch as the tyres are cheaper and they are the smallest wheel you can fit to a 1*2.

cheaper tyres is a bonus as you will use a fair few if your doing alot of track days

195/50/15 are a good size.

No they are 16". Ph1 172 wheels are 15" though.

ok so better to sell the turinis if i get a cup and buy some 15s with some good tyres on

Or keep the Turinis and buy some cheap 15's off here.

Smaller wheels = less weight. Better handling.. etc etc. Literally almost no down-sides.

195/50/15 are a good size.

Best size as it's OEM size and being a very popular size, rubber is CHEEP !

Yup! Very cheap rubber. I got 4 Toyo t1-r's for £120, although not the best tyre they will do for track.

15" great on track and we use toyo 888's tried kuhmo and didnt think much to them,not done a great deal on the others enough to advise.
