i've been told that dunlop dz02g or dzo3g's are better than 888's for track.

ive been searching prices........£55 for Toyo R 888 medium compound 195/50/15...is this cheap or anyone know anywhere cheaper

seems pretty good; probably not going to be able to save much on that.

equivalent A048 would probably cost you £80-90 and the Dunlops might be even more expensive. Kumho and Hankook both do similar types of tyre but don't know anything about them.

could probably get a set of part worn slicks for less but some track days won't let you use them

some tracks require you to have a cage if you're running slicks iirc....

bomber had some ex-cup racer slicks for sale. Not sure if he still has them.
