traction control

I own a 2001 plate Clio 172, full specification " Leather seats, multi changer, Aircon " and was woundering about traction control ........ Would my clio have this and if so would it be better switched on or off , or is it just personal preference to have it off ? would it drive better off ? :S

i think it came in on an 02 plate, but if you have it there is a switch by the dimmer switch for the dash lights to turn it on and off.

I had an 02 plate 172, the only traction control it had was my right foot.

The TC is largely crap anyway. In icy conditions it seems to work well, but on a dry or wet road it lets the fronts hammer away in axle tramping madness for an hour before it does anything. Certainly no good for any kind of launch control aid. You wont miss it.

it came in on 2003 172's which use the same running gear, gearbox, drive shafts as the 182
