Trailers for track day car

  172 Cup plus more
Guys

Can you please tell me which trailers you use for moving you clips around and what you think to them? As I'm getting very confused on which to buy at the moment, also a lot of the width wise are ok but a little short on length I think but unsure, are you able to have over hang on the front or back of the load bed?

Thanks

Gaz

Brian James Clubman is a really good little trailer for a Clio and you won't loose money when you come to sell if you get it 2nd hand. All trailers are different in size even the Clubman comes in a few sizes. Its just something you have to measure. I would advise a double axle braked trailer at least if you are going any distance, they tow so much better. I have seen many cars with overhang but hanging out the back isn't going to be acceptable with the plod. Its same as anything, common sense and you will be alright.

Ok thanks, my problem also is that my tow car is a smax ( whispers quietly) which grosses at 2505kg and I need to say below 4259kg complete but I hear companies with down plate a trailer to you need to say within limits

I use a Woodford trailer, twin axle braked. Very stable and small, Clio fit's on it fine. It's only just a little bit bigger than the Clio, thinks it's 12'6"x6'6"

Yeah you can have them down plated as whatever they are plated for has to be added to your tow vehicle weight giving your gross.
