Transferring Data from PS3 to PS3

Picking up a New PS3 tonight after the old one buggered up so just wondering how easy/hard it is to transfer the data from the old to the new?

Will it transfer everything or selected info.??

Yep it still turns on just doesn't connect to the internet.

Ok I'll do a little google search... Any ideas if it will transfer map packs for cod or am i likely to have to buy them again?

May sound really daft but can't you transfer the hard drive from one to another?
No, you can't.. The new PS won't read it as when you update the system on a PS3, it splits the update and stores most on the HD and the rest in the systems BIOS. Niether can run without the other part. It's not interchangeable between systems without a reformat/reinstall of the Update software on the HD/BIOS.

just remember to disable you account on you're old PS3

I've just bought a secong hand PS3 and they left two accounts with automatic sign in and all. I deleted both and formatted the console but you might get a c*nt who decides to rape the account.
