Tree sap issues!

  clio 172
Hi all!

So my drive has trees covering it and tree sap is becoming an issue.
My first car was a pug 306 and that got royally rearended by the sap, ended up costing me loads in autoglym products to clean it.
The sap has only just started coming down again (presume its weather related) and I was wondering if you had any tips on keeping it clean?
I can only park there and have no access to tarpaulin. I also move house in two weeks so I wont have the issue thereafter.

Any help appreciated!

Cheers!

Difficult one. A cover would be best, but for the moment, a well protected car should ensure it's easy to clean each time. If you can't prevent (i.e. move the car, cover it, garage etc) make sure it's protected by a decent wax or sealant and when you come to wash it, pre spray and jet wash should remove most of the sap, before you wash the car.

I'm having the same problem mate. Waiting for Council to cut the tree, it's a real nightmare.

Exactly as JD has said. Keep the car well waxed and it should wash off very easily. Always best when washing your car to damp it down initially, then use a good pre wash product like autofinesse citrus power or valet pro advanced nuetral snow foam through a spray bottle and leave it to dwell. This will soften and start to break down the bond of the sap so when you get to washing it should remove without too much trouble

Cheers for the info mate, I recently applied AG super resin polish then AG extra gloss protection, so hopefully should wash off easy

Based on your inability to string a coherent sentence together, your "mam" clearly over indulged?
