Trip Computer

Got a problem with my trip computer. Sometimes it will reset itself at the start of a journey, without me touching the little button. Anyone know how to fix this?

Mine tends to do this when the temp drops to about freezing point in the winter. Reno reckon the only cure is a new instrument panel

Also tend to do it if your battery is on its last legs.

There have been quite a few threads about this before. It seems a low battery can cause the trip computer to reset itself when the car is started. Seems to be something that happens more in winter than in summer although no idea why.
