Tripod for Canon 350D

Quick question, seen this on offer at Aldi for a tenner, will it work with the Canon 350D as I'm looking at getting one of these cameras and for that price can't go wrong if it fits?

Should do. tripod mounts are universal, im guessing for a tenner though it'll be as much use as a chocolate firegaurd.

Important things to consider when choosing a tripod.

The maximum weight it can carry (body + decent lens is going to be over 1.5Kgs)
The weight of the tripod which you'll have to carry about with you
Time it takes to deploy - it may well have quick release legs but how long does it take to assemble/take down.
Does it come with a carry case
Size when assembled/Size when folded
