I'm in Huddersfield every day so I'll keep an eye out for you.

Trophy looks fantastic. Do you work in a bodyshop?

Just needs it’s standard exhaust putting on now to finish the exterior - loved having something to do in the strange world we live in now.

Looks 10x better now!

I've seen it a couple of times since I posted this but then one day it vanished which I'm guessing is when you snapped it up😅

Looks like its in better hands now!

Today I’ve spent 6hrs cleaning her now it’s nearly finished at the Body-Shop - just petrol cap to fit and a final flat and buff.
Steering wheel sent off to Royal last week - foot rest to screw back in.
Come along way to the unloved car in Brighouse/Bradford - he did fortunately look after it mechanically bar removing the Sachs due to the cost implication - I’ve bought brand new ones to fit back on which have cost me a fortune - new front/rear plus new springs and top mounts and to finish them off I got the dust covers from France.

Looks good mate. Make a project thread!

I presume you have an airbag for it? I have one sat in my garage if not.

I did read that youd sent it to royal and then I saw the photos and forgot the text 😂

I only work in Huddersfield now, but I'm not far away in Elland. Will you be driving this properly or just leaving it as a garage queen? How do you rate the work done by premier too? I need some paintwork on mine and would be good to know the price/quality!

Thanks Guys

Louis I’ve been using them for years - Pete is a friend who owns the garage and does a fantastic job as you can see from mine.
I‘ve had both rear quarters done with the windows removed - bonnet done - both bumpers removed and painted as shells
Same with my door handles/roof rails/side sills and re stickered/boot surround trim/petrol cap
wheels where done by my friend who owns GoTints again in Huddersfield - they also put on my Trophy stickers

To do all the above I paid just £900 which is mate’s rates - would cost twice that I’d say.

I do send them a lot of work though

Seat I sent to Pickerings in Bradford for the bolsters doing and re-foaming at the front.(£120)

I also had the splitter fitted on Friday by Premier which is a plain black KTR one - couldn’t find a genuine one

One thing I havent change and are pleased to still have are the original dealer plates from Sunwin Renault which are still looking great.

I didnt realise it had so much paint. That's a bargain and you can really tell the quality from those photos!

I was looking for a decent local paint shop so might need to contact them! I only need rear quarter, filler flap and front bumper doing.

Just let me know when you want it doing and I’ll speak to Pete for you - he is behind Mecca Bingo just off Chapel hill.

Do you work near there - I have an office at Northgate the other side of the ringroad

All the other panels on the car are original and have never had paint - it was a shame to paint it as it had never had any before but I wanted it like new.

Didnt realise it was so close. I went for my covid jabs down cathedral house near mecca and didn't see his unit. I've used autopaints a couple of times down Manchester road and they're decent.

Yeah I work just off the ring road near the university. I'm often down northgate, suprised you havnt seen my 182 before.

I need to get my Recaro bolster repaired. Did they use the proper Recaro vinyl? Or something else? I only need the drivers side squab bolster repairing sadly I’m not local to you.

Been ordering parts for No63 this week

High pressure power steering pipe
full set of plain Brembo disc/pads with bearings and dot 4 fluid
Sump gasket
Sach’s clutch
Exhaust manifold repair kit
New exhaust hangers - back and middle
Engine top mounting - lower - dog bone gearbox one
Renault mats

This week I need to order brake pipes front and rear
Rear axle bushes
Front wishbone bushes - I’ve already got new Renault wishbones but they need bushes
Anti roll bar bushes
Driveshaft output seals
Bottom arms to subframe bolts
Rear heat shield

Hopefully when this is all fitted No63 should drive like new ( may even fit my new Sach’s to her rather then keep them looking shinny at home)

Last job will be to buy 4 x PS3 tyres

The Big underneath
has now begun - made great progress today with stripping everything off

Powder coating bits to take on Monday / Callipers same for a total rebuild and paint.

Can someone let me know what colour to do my front subframe - Silver or Black.

Also what colour do I paint the underneath of the car and in the wheel arches and ideas of what to buy.
