Unlike houses sold prices for cars are not made available to the public as far as I'm aware, and whoever buys at the top of the market is hardly likely to start a new thread on CS saying s/he just paid what most people will consider over the odds for what many will view as a glorified 182 with trick dampers, Recaros and a pink paint job.
At the end of the day whether the Trophy advertised at £20k sold for that or £12k is largely irrelevant - it's a transaction between two people. What anyone else thinks about the price has zero bearing on them doing business.
