  Trophy #240/R33 GTST
I'd only have one with locking pins intact, and unmolested

How comes? The dampers were designed to be adjusted just renault had them pinned.
Would you just be worried about someone not having done the depin correctly and allowed dirt into the adjusting mechanism? I can see your point if that is what you are worried about.

Lots of people have had them depinned when they had them refurbed at BG. As long as that has been done properly then the fact that they have been adjusted would not bother me at all. I would be worried if a company with the reputation of Sachs made an adjustable damper that killed itself everytime you adjusted it.

On another note.. Which number did you get? Congrats! I love my one! :)

As long as it s a good brand your reet imo. I rate the Conti 2's and 3's. Toyo's are fine for day to day, but are at the cheaper end of the scale.

have you actually tried exaltos? they are by far the best tyre on 182, ive had toyo on other cars they are cheap for a reason imo and last five minutes.

Yeah had a shot of a 325i im sure it was with exaltos and you're absolutley right, they are a fantastic rubber.

I dont agree however that its the only good tyre that can go on a 182.

Just my 2p worth tbh

Honestly i actually laugh at some peoples mentality on here.

"If you cant afford the right tyres you cant afford the car"

Love the heros on here

i stand by that they make the car what it is, so cheap parts and 95 ron petrol are acceptable are they?

Aye fair enough, never skimp on tyres and brakes etc

But, they're are other tyres out their that dont cost £90 and do the exact same job.

Thats the point i was trying to make :)

Well your talkin pish anyway.

No.

If you read it, it was asking what tyres you would fit. And I said PE2's. It was an English and reading excercise. I will not take the chance of fitting anything else. Renault designed the 182 and had a tyre designed for the job. It's excellent. I'll keep with that thanks.

I laugh at you because you're a fool and think you know everything. If anyone is a "hero" it's you for trying to make a big deal out of everything and ram home your opinions as if they should be unanimous.

yeah i rate contis too, had them on my 172cup but i said 182 which is a different size so cant comment on a comparison.

Because people who don't know what they are doing could have been pissing around with them! They were set up and pinned for a reason imo.

Psssh, you both are wrong. These are the only way to roll on a Clio, £37's worth are rubber godliness:rasp:

Arguing over Tyres now? LOL

I personally never swayed from the PE2 when i had the 182 as it was a very good tyre and i doubt very much if/when i replace the 197's i will sway from the Contis as they are very good too!

Personally i prefer to keep in with OEM (as Renault didnt go with Michelin/Continentals for no reason) but there are probably other brands that'll do a job out there.

I had Conti 3's, then on the Speedlines i had, picked up some Michelin's (SBV now had them on the 200) very very good imo. Cant remeber what they were though :(

Yeah exalto tyres are a must and suit the Clio best. If ya can't afford the tyres ya can't afford the car simples. I wouldn't put any other tyres on my 182. Trophys are the best of the 1*2 range I'd of had 1 but a good mate had 1 at the time god rest his sole so went for the cup instead.
Bs tbh. Tyres are a very personal thing, I don't like pe2's, so I removed them as soon as poss.

nothing!! just has to be different. Its like a bug, someone else has got it on this forum too. no names mentioned!!
Dan, you are such a child lol. You can have your personal opinion but no-one else can. Such a sad act lol.

I prefer the F1 GSD3, and the V12 evo. Just didn't like the feel on the pe2's. Didn't say the pe2's were s**t, just that I didn't like them.
