Was all set for a vee, until I worked out petrol costs on mileage, decided that with getting married this yr, can't justify it. So, looking at Trophy's now. How do they compare to 172/182's? Had 2 172's and 1 182cup before, are they that much of an impprovment?

Yes, they were designed to solely to cover uk 'b' as quick as possible.

Info from Bernard head of RS Motorsport at RWS 06.

The turn in & handling are excellent:hail:

I think you would be amazed at how different a Trophy feels to a 172/182. I was.

When I went from the 172 to the 182 the difference wasn't massive, although the 182 had more grip, more likely due to the wider rubber.

The Trophy has a similar feel to to a 172 Cup, only with better turn in and more grip, especially out of slower corners. The Cup still has that "up on it's toes" feel though when changing direction quickly.

If you can find one to try it's worth a go.

The lad who bought mine off me couldn't believe how different it was to his 182 with Cup packs.

Just debating wether it's going to better to drive than a 172 with H&R's (other option). Need to try me thinks.

There's no reason why correctly set up H & Rs wouldn't be as good if not better. It's all down to who sets them up really.

The Trophy was obviously setup by Jean Ragnotti after hooning round French hillsides.
