trying to get media server setup for ps3

trying to get laptop to work as a media server for ps3. have went into media player > library > media sharing, turned it on so media sharing is on, but in the list in media player where you give access to the computers you want to share with, it isnt bringing my ps3 up as an option.

any ideas why?

iirc On Media Player it appears as "Unknown Device" so you just have to allow that

I just use Ushare on my Home PC, does the job nicely.

(That may infact be the one Ubuntu uses by default but I decided to use bleeding edge SVN IIRC)


*edit* bollox nevermind.. I read it as you using linux.. Not sure how you do it with media player.
