Tsi

theres that new golf tsi thats both turbocharged and supercharged, and deliver around 170bhp form a mere 1.4 engine

could something similar be done to a clio?

Yep best use the Renault turbo blocks but why bother even without a turbo you can get 350hp from a 2.0 172 engine. The only advanatge is that with both turbo and superchrager you cna have boost from the idle to max rpm.

well i bet if something similar was to be done to a 1.2 engine, one could get a fine amount of bhps, while keeping the insurance/registration costs quite low...

WHy bothere though get a diesel for cheap road fund any anyway insurance is down to loads of cfactory price to fix engine size doesn't always have an impact. Thats why it can be cheaper to insure a group 12 car with a 18 engine than a group 9 car with a 1.6 engine sometimes as the group 9 car may be famous for crashes and expensive claims.
