Tuner List wiring vs Update list wiring

I know that the update list is post-2005 and the tuner list pre-2005, but I've had a tuner list tape deck in my 05 extreme with its own display. I bought a cabasse tunerlist stereo and the display doesn't work when it's plugged in. It makes noises and the steering controls work, just has a blank display with only time on it. Any Ideas?

Nope not noticeably IMHO, I've just got a sony dsx-A40UI now instead [h=1][/h]
