Turbo charger installation

I recently bought brand new Garret T2 charger. And I set my mind to install it in my poor Renault 5. Is this possible? Advices please...I dont want to throw 550€ to waist...

I cant see why you couldnt do it, but you need more than just a turbo. Phone someone like Van Aaken for some advice.

Please guys, I need serious advice. Its a 90 R5 1100. But since Ive seen all kinds of mods on earth done do almost every car, why couldnt I put a turbo into R5...

it can be done if you are willing to spend the money, basically you will need all parts from an r5 turbo, carb breather system, manifolds etc and you will need to drop the compression! To be completely honest, you are much better off replacing the 1100 with a complete 1400 turbo engine, as you will have a stronger base to start with and have a much better power potential! you can pick a complete donor car up for under £500, much cheaper than sourcing all the bits required to turbo the 1100.

hope this helps

I think that fitting a Turbos engine into my R5 is mission impossible.

So, what parts do I need to install this Garret charger in 1108ccm engine?

Um mate, its is SERIOUSLY hard work to do that, bolting in a GTT motor will be a sinch in comaprison.

Parts you will need.....hell, every simgle item an engine has uprated to cope. A multitude if custoim parts and itll be crap at the end of it.

Like TT said, drop a rady mage turbo 1.4 in and be done....or even simpler, go out and buy a 5 GTT.........

Where is this reasoning comming from?

But a nice GTT for 1500 or spend more than that putting a 1.1 turbo in an inadequete chassis!??

LOL I thought my wife was bad buying shoes and stuff, but just picking up a turbo on your way back from town, thats something else! Ben tell me more about this rady mage turbo 1.4, I want one too!

a rady mage turbo, is an advancement on the now common 360 thrust hybrids whicha re about.

Made single handed by an 98 yr old turbo expert in tennesee, original use was combine harvesters........they are lil beasts!
