Turbo conversion advice

I would avoid clioturbo at all costs. I dropped my car off with them September 2015 at the time payed £3000 upfront, and given a timescale of 8/9 weeks for there me kit 2 and lsd fitted. 7months later and 100s of emails and blanked phone calls I got the car back. The car was only half complete, no powder coating, loose hoses, poor wiring, various oil leaks , couldnt use car in high boost as boost would cut out, asked to pay half for supertec valves I never asked for but claimed he accidentally fitted and worst of all no lsd of which I was informed upon collection 4hrs away from me!

I was told that the lsd was faulty and needed returning to quaife. I was then given a date Aug 2016 to return the car for the lsd to be fitted I had paid for in 2015. Again 100s of emails and 6weeks later I collect the car, to be met by some random friend of Andy's. To have my pride and joy handed back again incomplete. Refunded for the lsd and now have no faith in the work that has been carried out previously.

I have given them soooo much leeway and the benefit of the doubt over and over again. But now feel it's only fair I share my experience.

Wow that's just insane, just want to thank everyone on here who's shared there experience's, could of easily been me

No worries mate, I wasnt going to publicly shame him to start with because on the surface he's a nice guy, but he shouldn't be getting away with the state he's left so many cars in over the last few years, and his customer service is a appalling, so I'll happy tell people now what they're likely to get into with him so they take there money to a company that deserves it.

I'd be interested in the cost of this too? Been weighing up options for new cars, or tuning my Clio (with RS2), and my belts need doing in 18 months time.
Was tempted buy the prices at CT recently, but upon searching the forum ED are the only really option.

I think there more to this than most people know. I'm pretty sure that Sharky's relationship with Fred was and still is a good one?

And to Fred's credit he lent Sharky his V6 for quite some time iirc? I think that just goes to show the type of bloke Fred is. He was hugely respected on the Clio scene and it's a bit unfair to try and tar him with same brush as certain other 'specialists'.

Seems getting a decent Renault Sport specialist for high cost conversions (turbo, itb) is pot luck no wonder turbo conversions are considered too unreliable

Yeah it wasn't Fred's fault iirc, more of a parts supply issue i seem to remember.

Agree mate to a point i also know he tried to tell a good mate of mine his timing was miles out (he took it there because of the hype around btm). So he took it back to TCR who did the belts they told him there fine! He put said car on the roller every year and it pulled 181 182 everytime on various rollers

Not to say CT aint taking the piss not replying to people once youve taken there money is a c***s trick. Even the best DO f**k up.

Seems to me CT will be out of the boosting business soon as a bad name sticks

I was there having work done on mine and he was showing me some of the wrong parts that had been sent, so it wasn't lies.

But anyway this isn't about BTM.

Pms top mounts and brace. Not had them but from what I've read they are supposed to be a great setup mate
