Turbo Jet + Turbo Zet

more air without a remap sounds to me like it will run too lean and in turn damage the engine.

Also being that it is inside the air intake I can only see that it may benefit at low to medium revs. Above that it would have to spin bloody fast not to be restrictive. Imagine how much air a 172 engine sucks in on full throttle at 6000+ Rpm. It would have to be like 100 Dysons running flat out !

check the reviews, the last one for the zet thing, hes got 700bhp but it felt a bit sh*te at low end until he put a zet on .... shame he cant write for sh*t, waste of money.

I know a kid who had one of those zet things on a mini years ago, and to be fair it did used to go like sh*t off a shovel... it made loads of difference but maybe that was just a freak.

I agree. To spin it in the first place it would have to restrict the air flow, and therefore lower BHP.

Try just changing gear quicker.

my wife uses something very similar........"a hair dryer" !

probably work just as well eg. not at all.

Theory looks sound but in practice it reduces the size of the air intake which will increase air speed but the volume of air getting through would have to be less otherwise why were Turbos designed if using the wifes hairdryer would do just the same for a lot less money ?

P.S if the electric motor is powerful it will require current to drive, this will in turn load the alternator and create a drag on the engine thus reducing any possible gains.

Summary:- if you want a turbo and the gains it brings, buy a turbo not a hairdryer. Unless the wife needs one of course.
