Turbo problem

Could it not be just boost if the turbo comes in @ 2000rpm

Find a hill and put it in 5th and boot it. if it slips you will hear/feel it.

Its changed from how it used to be. This surges but doesnt go as quick as it used to. It goes but after the res hit 3k they drop back down to catch the box up at about 2500-2750.

If it was clutch slip Id expect it not to move at all. Ill try the 5th gear thing though.

the cutch etc is a mechanical link so there no way that the revs could increase without vehicle speed increasing unless the clutch is slipping.from what you say it sounds like your clutch is slipping.
