which turbo engine would be better to fit in to my clio as im kitting my clio up even tho most of you dont like this idea and there is a nice space in my front bumper for a intercooler so which engine the r5 gtt our the 1.7 volvo engine also which one would be best power looking to work it up to around 200 bhp thanks guys also any one no were could get one of these engines

If I was doing mine again then I would go the volvo turbo lump, can get a full car for about £500 for the conversion.

Speak to the guys at Nocturnal Developments about the 1.7 turbo lump as they are having excellent results with it

Yeah R5 lump in mine, good because lots of goodies available like silicone hoses stuff like that, but the Volvo lump just seems to be a better base to start from

Few people have done the conversion on here mate just have a search, I spotted a thread recently which looked like a very tidy conversion

Not a clue what mine is pushing, not been massively fettled with! And its only just been re-built, so not been setup properly yet

Just have a search for 1.7 turbo conversion mate, bound to bring some stuff up on here

nice 1 m8 mite have meet up so i can see the beast it looks gd by the way liek the pink and black very diffrent this why i want it bec if kit me car up its only 1.2 so need the power back it up

how come i have a mk2 ph 1 clio so would the volvo engine still fit in its only a 1.2 so what gearbox/drivshafts would i have to use alos how much would i be looking to get in dropped in pro?

Not sure of the 1.7 volvo lump going in one of those, I know nocturnal developments but an R5 GTT lump into the same shape clio as yours though, and the owner is very happy with it

the F3N / F2N wont fit straight in - you would have to fabricate new mounts.......why bother with that dirty old 1.7 lump anyway ?

open to any engines as long as will fit and has good power and turbo as just like look of intercoolers in the fron bumpers etc
