Tweaters in the Cup

Are the tweaters in the front of the dash full range speakers?

I'm wanting to upgrade my fronts but not sure what to get. I know Comps are better than 2 ways but I'm a lazy git and can't be bothered to take the dash out to install the tweaters.

For the time being they'd be power'd off the headunit. Anu suggestions on what I should do?

A tweeter isn't a full range speaker. It only deals with high frequencies and the speaker in the door deals with the mid-range. Though the original tweeter simply has a built in crossover to filter the highs from the head-unit signal, the door speakers still get the full range (I think).

If you can't be arsed fitting new tweeters/crossovers then just get a good set of 2-ways.
