tweaters....

i got sum coponents in my car and since i have taken out my sub and unpluged my amp my front tweeters make bad noises about alf volume does this mean they are f**ked? and now it turns its self down as well im not sure wot happens after that cos i turned it off. it also like makes a little pop wen i plug in the headunit.
any help would be great cheers chaps!

ur components now running of the headunit? if so check the iso plug is in correctly

no its running off an amp but it only happened after i unplugd it all and pluged it back in shud i do sumthing like unplug it and then plug it in agen or disconnect it from the battery and then do this??

not likely my bro did it for me hes an auto eletrician. it was workin a treat b4 i took the amp out to carpet the build.

yea, it turns it self reet down aswell im gunna ask my bro l8r if hes about but im not sure if hell no. i mite unpluging everything from the amp any1 know which i should plug in first after disconnecting from the battery? and i presume dont reconnect to the battery until i have pluged everything back in?? cheers every1

that is a bit of a difficult one to diagnose remotely

have you plugged the speakers into where the sub used to be? if so you need to change the amp from low pass filter to high pass, as sounds like ur speakers may just be recieving signal sub 80hz when you need 80hz and above

no we recon the tweeter was just faulty so ive ordered sum new tweeters and the tweeter was shortin it out thats why it keep going off. will ave 2 w8 n c. cheers for all ur help guys ill keep u posted
