hello,

is there an easy way to pop some tweeters in the front dash? without taking the dash off?!:S

you can try and turn the covers anti clockwise on the dash, if you can get a grip.

If you get the covers off, then you get get the tweeters out. You need small hands. tbh

cheers mate, dont think there are any tweeters in there so if i can get the covers off it should be easy enough to pop in some new ones.

Ive just taken my covers off, its bloody hard 2 get the tweeters out, IVe done one, took ages and the second one is still in there, Cant get the new one back in though, might try and take the dash off, dont want to though

You need to get the dash top off, theres no way you'll get any fitted through the holes imo. They don't perfectly line up with the tweeter mounting holes, and I don't think they'll fit through the hole in the dash either.

i got exact fit pionner ones from caraudiosecurity and they went through the holes.

Not bad sound either!

I think your right, Im a little cautious about removing the dash ill probably mess it up. Think im going to have to though lol

You have the ones with the yellow cones right? 'Cause i fitted them through no problem.

Yea the yellow pioneers renualt specific

Have you got a phase 1 because i dont think it is possible to fit them in the ph 2 as the grilles dont even align up properly.

Ive had the dash off today and there in now there was no way I could have got them in otherwise.

Well done to you then, I used so much force trying i thought i might break something, in fairness removing the dash wasnt that hard (just dont drop any screws ANYWHERE) Probebaly to do with the angle you put them in at must have just been the right one lol!

Maybe you could give some advice to the many other people who want to fit new tweeters without removing the dash.

Oh and by the way what do u think to the speakers? are u running an aftermarket headunit or from standard?
