Twitching/Vibrating Speedo & Rev Conuter

Hi All

Recently my speedo and rev counter needles have started twitching/vrating when the car is started.

Fuel gauge and temperature guage are fine and they only do it for a couple of seconds at most. No other apparent faults.

Car is a 53 plate FF 172.

I have searched, but I can't find anything.

Could be a start of a dead battery, and it will catch you out as it did the same thing to me.

Really? Sounds like a weird early syptom of a dying battery.

I have noticed in the last couple of days that it only does it after the car has been stood for a while, i.e. went to work this morning and it did it when I started it, left work 9 hours later and it did it again, parked it outside the house and moved it onto the drive 10 minutes later and it didn't do it.
