types of induction kits

Not sure what either of these are supposed to achieve, but what one is best for overall imrpovement of performance?

A "Ramcharger" induction kit

or

a standard "K&N induction kit"

It is for a 1.4 2004 clio. (16v)

Ramcharger over an open IK as they tend to r****d performance due to sucking in warm air. Enclosed IK are best eg BMC CDA, Viper, Maxogen

if located properly there not to bad. and you could have one with a shield on the side with the hot air.
