Tyre opinions

  Phase 1 172, boxster
hey all

Need to buy some new tyres in the near future and need your opinions on which ones
Ive narrowed the choices down to 4 of which i can afford

Toyo Proxes T1-R

Avon ZV3

Bridgestone Potenza's
or
Pirelli P6000

Any opinions appreciated
cheers

hi, the only ones ive had out of that selection are the P6000's, and, for performance driving i think they are pretty pants. They are more suited to saloons or estates!!

been driving "hot hatches" for almost ten years now. (XR2I, ASTRA 2.2 SRI etc) had Toyo's, Mich's, Contis in the past. now always go back to Avons

Continentals 1's are IMo the best realy thre finished production the 2's are neatly as good just melt on track use apart formt theat there great.

Keep away from T1R and S though IMo i realy don't rate them at all grip leave arn't as high there only advanatge is there cheap and quite hard wearing but for me that not a good reasn not to spend an extra few quid and chnage the tyres more with contis.

Totally agree I use Conti-Sports all around and noticed a huge improvment from the silly rainsport tyres I had on the car when I bought it.

im a contisport man, however not on your list.

the bridgestones i had on my passat were guid, however i know that honda CTR owners moan about them being a bit crap in the wet.
