Tyre size question

hey folks. i have done a search for this question, and i think i have the answer im looking for but i just want to confirm.

im getting new tyres in the next few days, and im wondering if its ok to run 195/55s' on the back, and 185/55s' on the front? (as the rear wheels get put to the front at tyre changes). i have standard clio 15"s on the car.

i have read something about handling maybe being a bit funny.

legally its fine as long as the skinnier 1's are at the front but it wont handle as well, due to less surface area of the tyre being in contact with the road.

when you say wont handle as well, am i going to notice it when driving to and from work, and general day to day driving? thats all i use my car for anyway.

plus, i will need another set in a few months anyway.

on a 1.2 it will be reet

just depends if u drive hard or what. as above wont feel much diff on a 1.2 but then again never had 1 so..
