Tyre size question...

  2004 1.5 DCi 80 Dyna
Currently the car is sporting the size 185/55/R15 on standard renault alloys, would changing the size to 195/50/R15 work?

Or would it make a major difference (or not work at all)?

It would mean saving around £80 when getting everything done.

Yeah, the fronts have a couple more thousand left in them but they are all different makes so I would rather do them all at once.

God for bid, Kwik Fit actually do PE2's for either £86.45 (185/55/R15) or £56.74 (195/50/R15)

Including valve/balance & tyre disposal the 195/50/R15 comes to £270.96 (for all 4).

I's be asking for the tyres back and saving on the disposal cost. Take them to your local council recycling point (or tip, as they used to be called). They should take them, no problem.

Be sure to check this oiur first. I am sure my local tip (Northampton) has a sign saying "no thanks" for tyres
