Tyre wear

Suffering tyre wear on inside edge of both front tyres on my 172. My local garage reckons that front wheel drive cars with high bhp tend to do this, (he couldnt check tracking because its too low for his equipment) any comments?

Is your car lowered?

I'd get your front wheel alignment/tracking checked first of all. You may have too much 'toe out'

The tyres on my 172 wear pretty evenly, and that's lowered on coilovers.

yeah to much toe in or toe out i had it on mine made my F1's bald in 8k miles.

not lowered totaly standard... looks like i best find someone who can check tracking on a 172. Looking to but brand new 17" alloys with tyres so dont want to knock them out in a hurry!! Thanks for your ip guys
