Tyres Advice?

I am in need of two new front tyres and wanted some advice first if you please! I have a set of 16" clio cup wheels with 195/40/16 toyo T1Rs on, but it is quite a hard ride some times and every time I look at the wheels it looks like the tyres ither look flat or dont look right on the wheels?? the car is lowered 30mm, what tyres and sizes do you recomend?

Many Thanks And

195/40/16s??? No wonder the rides hard!

Should be running 195/45s or 205/45s.

Shouldn't do.

Are they Cup Turini's you've got and not trophy wheels?

If you have 195s all round and want 2 205s they have to go on the back or its an MOT failure and the police can do you for having wider tyres on the front than the back.

I just fitted Hankook Ventus Evo's 205 45 16 w and they're great so far.

So if I went for 205/45 they wouldn't look like they were streched on the rim and it would be a better ride? but would it catch because its lowered 30mm?

They wouldn't look stretched as they are 10mm wider than your 195's, and it should be a better ride with the taller side wall. And no, there should be no catching. The difference is only a small one.

Strange request, but could some one with cup wheels and 205/45 tyres post a picture up so I could see before I buy? chears.

I got the new tyres fitted? only on the back mind you, what do you think? I'm not to sure anymore???

i've recently put 205/45s on mine and the difference in height in the sidewall is noticeable over 195/45s

ed. what are you actually trying to achieve?:)
they look alright to me

well it looks stange because you have a narrow skinny front tyre and a fat wide rear tyre! get the fronts too and it will look fine.

To look "normal" they'd need to be 195s, the standard tyre size. Maybe it's just the pressures but they look huge to me.
