Tyres for 15's

Car  Audi TT 225
I noticed my drivers side tyre is worn on the inside so trackings out but excuse for new ones ;)

Can I fit a wider tyre to a standard 15" ph-quick alloy (OZ F1)

I was thinking 205/50/R15? Im running 195 toyo proxes at the moment but want more grip.

Would there be any issues with this size?

Bump, as I would like to know the answer to this question also.

Would be interested to know which different tyre sizes that can be put on the 15" 172 ph.1 wheels?

supose you could run 205's but they would look abit crap with the rims being only 6.5j wide!!

just get a good quality 195/50 and get a better suspention set up if you want more grip in the corners

mytyres.co.uk have michellin exalto pe2 195/50/15s for £44 at the moment, that would be my choice.

As above! lol

55s will have 'softer' sidewalls as they are higher profile, and may not be as 'sharp' to turn in as 50s.

Valvers/williams were fitted with 185/55/15 as standard though, and they have no problem with sharp turn in
