took out the ashtray and cigar lighter today as it wasnt working(loose connection) - anyway under the ashtray cup holder thingy there was a red port jack in terminal thing! nothing connected to it..just wondered whats it for?

Its the port to plug a computer in for diagnostics

i thought that it was pretty easy to get to my self or do you mean in regards to spilling your milkshakes on it?

Its an ideal place to stick it realy.

Under law has to be in a certain distacne of drivers seat there a few options bit IMO that ideal.

Indeed, very easy to get to, but also nicely out of sight. If only they'd had a similar idea for the Airbag switch, looks absolute cack.
