Unknown Green and Yellow Connector above pedal- What is it please?

  Clio 1.2 dynamique 16V
Hello All,

While sorting out some SERV AIRBAG light issues on my MkII, i came across this connector below the steering wheel and above the pedals. It was just hanging there and I was wondering if its important. The car works fine, so i figure its not vital and it does not look like it connects into anything.

Any help on what this is and what it does would be appreciated.

Its a green connector with a yellow insert- please see image.

Many Thanks in advance.
