Unknown pipe

Dropped the engine out of the 172 yesterday and missed a pipe !

I think it is the return from the fuel rail to the tank. I pull itself off somewhere a a few drops of fuel dropped out, It is quite a small bore, 6mm or so. It attaches to the very left hand end of the
fuel rail as you look at the engine from the front of the car. Where does the other end attach to ?

It'll be a feed on the left hand side. It joins underneath the car, pretty much below the pedals to the pipe leading to the tank.

its the fuel line, depending on your car age there may or may not be a return on the end of the rail
