Unreasonable??

I put on a thread about the mixed locking wheel nuts and key for my 182. I have told the dealer I expect them to remove the lockers and the replace them, but they are being hesistant now and I think they are gonna be diffcult over it. They have spoken to the owner for the first 6 months ( car is 9months old now) and they have never used the wheel nut. The car has never had any warranty work:D , so would have no reason to have the wheels removed.

Question is am I being unreasonable expecting renault to take the hit?? yeah I bought the car used (from the original supplying dealer) It is clear that the mistake has happen at the import centre.

I am looking at an hours labour £60 to chisel off and cost of lockers £35??

Should I fork out or take it up with renault uk?

Take it up, but how about meeting them half way. On the other hand they should have took the wheels off and noticed the fault. Good luck and thanks for the changer ;)

Ok get a socket and knock it over the locks and put new ones on. Argue the toss with renault for the nuts

  not a clio anymore
Just talk to them nicely. My local dealer removed a wheelnut for me for free before (during a service or some kind of scheduled work though). Also you don't need to remove the wheels to check the pads so they wouldn't remove the wheels. I have never been asked for the locking wheelnuts key for a service.

^^ mayeb your right, might just be the major 36k service. Just remember seeing on one of the work sheets on my 172 wheel removal.

I am talking to them nicely, however, if you know Arnold Calrk in Wigan, you will understand that it usually ends up at loggerheads. Always go elsewhere for service, but they were the supplying dealer.
