The other option is Linux if you're not into using office.
I've got Steam on my old gaming laptop running Ubuntu and it has given it a new lease of life. Use it for work every day and it feels like going back to older XP but in a good simple way.
I'm moving away from Windows. I've been piloting using Linux on a mini-PC I bought a while back and I can't fault it. I might miss out on a few AAA games, but with the Steam Deck out there compatibility is gettting surprisingly good now.
Think I'll buy a new SSD, keep the old Windows one to one side for a bit just in case and then when I'm completely sure about Linux on my main PC I'll use the old SSD as extra p**n storage. I could use some sort of euphamism, but meh. It's for p**n.
